B. Meier

B.A. “Benney” Meier, Jr., 77 of Robinson, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco, with Rev. Micheal Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
Benney was born on July 18, 1927 in Waco, TX to Bernhard A. Meier, Sr. and Defasy Dell (Evans) Meier. From the age of 11, he worked as a carpenter, working for many years at Waco Construction, as well as working for himself. He married Julia Bohannon in 1947 in Waco, TX. He enjoyed gardening and always had a bumper crop of tomatoes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a brother, Carl Meier.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Meier of Robinson; sons Ben Meier, III of Waco and Kenneth Meier and wife Sandy of Waco; sisters Martha Thorn of Houston and Mary Owens of Hendersonville, TN; 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 4 nieces and 3 nephews.
