Augustin Gayton Rodriguez, 77, of Waco, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023. A visitation to celebrate his life will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 6 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home. Pastor Ruben Andrade will speak at 6 p.m.
Augustin was born August 28, 1945 to Manuel and Basilia (Gayton) Rodriguez in Speegleville, Texas. He married Adelfina Zapata and they spent 58 wonderful years together. Augustin served in the US Army, doing one tour in Vietnam. He worked for many years at General Tire and then went on to be a forklift driver until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Justin Rodriguez; sister, Lata Padilla; brother, Noel Rodriguez.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 58 years, Adelfina; sisters, Penny, Augustina, Theresa, Hope, Mary, and Kathy; brothers, Martin, Manuel Jr, and Jesse; step-mother, Cleotilde Rodriguez; along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Family of Faith Worship Center in Augustin’s memory.
