Augustin Gaona

Augustin Louis Gaona, 39, of Axtell, TX, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 8, at St. Francis on the Brazos, 315 Jefferson Ave, Waco, TX, with Fr. Eduardo Jazo as Celebrant. Visitation will be from 5 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 7, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with a rosary recited at 6:00 p.m.
Augustin was born April 9, 1984, in Waco, TX, to Prudencio and Odelia Gaona. He was a happy, kind and loving person that would do anything for anyone without being asked. He loved his family very much and was very protective of them. Augustin was known as a jokester and being the life of the party. He enjoyed all kinds of music and loved his white Ram truck he had since 2012. He was greatly loved and will be missed by all that knew him.
Augustin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Augustin Gaona.
He is survived by his loving wife, Flora Y. Gaona; parents, Prudencio and Odelia Gaona; son, Augustin Gaona, Jr.; brother, Armando Gaona and Angelica; sisters, Crystal Ramirez and Luis, Francisca Gaona, and Amber Segovia and Javier; parents-in-law, Maria and Abel Torres; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Pascual Torres and Karina; Abelino Torres and Antonio Cruz, Andres Torres and Ruby Torres; uncle Baudilio Gaona and Susy; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
