Audrey Duncan Tandy Freeman, 85, of Waco, went to be with her Heavenly Father, Wednesday, August 24, 2016. Her Memorial Service will be held 10 am, Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr. The family will receive visitors Friday, from 5-7 pm, at the funeral home.
Audrey Duncan Tandy Freeman was born, November 4, 1930, in Temple, TX, to Aubrey and Lillian Duncan. Her family lived in many different towns in Texas before settling in Decatur, where she graduated from high school. Three years later, she graduated from North Texas State University.
She married Bland Tandy and they had 4 children: Kathy, Duncan, Julie and Amy. She later married Bill Freeman, who had 3 children; Gail, Brenda and Mark.
Audrey taught school in Abilene, Waco and several other places in Texas, as well as Fort Campbell, Kentucky. She also substitute taught in Waco ISD for many years, touching many local students.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Nancy Tant; brother, Michael Duncan, and son, Duncan Tandy.
She is survived by her sister, Teresa Duncan; daughters, Kathy LoGrasso, of Waco, Amy Lezon, of Colleyville and Julie Morgan, of Robinson; daughter-in-love, Barbara Tandy; son Mark Freeman; 3 granddaughters, a great-granddaughter and many cousins and friends.
