Ashton Paige Krumnow age 23 of Riesel, passed away Saturday March 18, 2017 after a courageous battle with Leukemia. God requested her presence in Heaven to take care of all his horses and touch-up on all of the other Angels make-up. Services will be held at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, on Saturday March 25, 2017 at 10AM.
Ashton was born on April 14, 1993 in Waco, TX to Danny and Denise Krumnow. Ashton was a 2011 graduate from Riesel High School. At an early age, she started riding horses and later joined Prime Time Express Equestrian Drill team where they won the 2009 Youth National Championship in Tyler TX. In 2014, Ashton attended college at MCC and received her license in Cosmetology, which was a true passion of hers. Ashton was known for her love of doing make-up and hair. While working at Sports Clips, Ashton attended TSTC and planned to graduate with her degree in Robotics and Electrical Power Controller this year.
Ashton is preceded in death by grandmother Wanda Craft Harrison, and grandfathers, Joe Miles and Thomas Krumnow.
Ashton is survived by her parents Danny and Denise Krumnow of Riesel; sisters Desiree Miles of Hutto, Stephanie Krumnow of Chilton and Dana Stem of Lorena; brother Lee Krumnow of Riesel; grandmother Mary Baker Krumnow of Riesel; nieces and nephew Kelsie Murie of Lorena, Zadie Thompson of Lorena, and Dalton Krumnow of Chilton; aunts and uncles Vicki Schedule, Susan Culp, Judy and Ernie Rabe, Debbie and Richard Glass, David and Rachel Krumnow, Lisa and Larry Simpson, several awesome cousins, and Ashton’s beloved cat Merlynn.
The family would like to express a special thanks to all the Doctors, Nurses, and Care Partners at Cook Children’s Hospital for all of the kindness and care given to Ashton and to the town for Riesel for all the love and support you have shown Ashton and our family.
