On Monday September 20, 2021, Arturo Barron Jr., a loving husband and father of three children, was welcomed into the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 54.
Arturo, aka Big Art, was born on November 29, 1966 in Houston, Texas to Arturo Barron Sr. and Guadalupe Garcia. Arturo loved the Lord and was a great example of being Christ-like. His gift and desire was to pray for others. He loved to make people laugh and was a big jokester. He was greatly loved and will be missed by his entire family and those he impacted throughout his life. Arturo had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone. Big Art was a die-hard Cowboy fan and was known for his great tasting tamales.
Arturo was preceded in death by his grannie, Antonia Garcia, his father, Arturo Barron Sr., his cousin, Pedro Perez, and Alias Garcia. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 22 years, Modesta, mother, Guadalupe Garcia, and wonderful children, Arthur Barron III, Angelina Barron and Joshua Barron; his siblings, Jose Barron and wife Susana, David Macias and wife Maria, Armando Moreno and significant other, Ramona, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 2 pm at Mighty Wind Worship Center, 1100 Washington Avenue, Waco, TX 76701. Reception to follow in the fellowship hall.
