Arnulfo (Arnold) Yglecias, Sr. passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the age of 80. A Memorial visitation will be Thursday October 2, 2014 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home from 6-8 pm, 3124 Robinson Dr.
Arnold was born on August 18, 1934 in San Antonio, TX to Vicente and Dominga Yglecias. He married Dolores (Adame) Yglecias in Anapra, New Mexico on October 31, 1960. After moving to Waco, TX Arnold continued his love for the road as a truck driver. He worked for several companies and finally retiring from Central Freight Lines in 1991. As he put his car away he continued light traveling as a bicyclist. He rode his bicycle which he called his two-wheel Cadillac up until he was too ill to ride. Happy Trails! Arnold was a friendly person, who never met and stranger.
Arnold is survived by his children; Arnold Yglecias, Jr. of Bellmead; Johnny Yglecias of Hewitt, Catherine Bailey and husband Daniel of Lacy Lakeview; and Christopher Yglecias and wife Susan of Houston, TX; special friend and mother of his children, Dolores Yglecias. Sisters, Beatrice Hurtado; Dora Torres and husband Johnny; Dominga Rodrigues and husband Ralph of Waco; Elvira Ramirez of Pontiac, MI; and Gloria Deleon of Hewitt, TX. Grandchildren; Blake Yglecias of Waco; Lauren Yglecias of Houston; Trevor Yglecias of College Station; Tanner Bailey of Lacy Lakeview; Zakary and Sydney Yglecias of The Woodlands; one great-grand child Jordyn Yglecias of Hewitt. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vicente Yglecias and Dominga Yglecias; brothers, Vicente Yglecias, Jesse Yglecias, and Mario Yglecias.
