April Susan Riddle was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world on May 22, 2021 at the age of 73. A celebration of life will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Robinson with Dr. Cary Killough officiating.
She was born to Bob and Doris Haldane with her twin sister Alice on May 7, 1948 in Tampa, Florida. After graduating from high school, April attended junior college and worked at the YMCA. While working at the YMCA she met her husband, Tom Riddle. They married in 1969 and together had two children: Tommy and Will. She is also survived by her brother, Bobby; her sister, Bonnie and husband, Ken; her sister, Alice and husband, Wayne.
While living in Robinson for 39 years she was an aide for the handicap children, bus driver, worked at Stonewood dental for many years, and was a Robinson city council member for 22 years. April was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist church for over 30 years helping teach Sunday school and visiting home bound parishioners.
April enjoyed spending time with all six of her grandkids: Layla, Declan, Averie, Cohen, Brayden, and Riley. They often would bake in the kitchen, played card games, and Mexican train. She always wanted to create lasting memories for all of her grandchildren.
April’s six year battle with cancer showed her courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, April stayed strong in her faith until the end.
