Annie Roberts

Annie Lou Roberts, 75, of Crawford, TX, passed away on February 9, 2023 in Waco, TX.

Her family will receive visitors on Thursday, February 16, from 6 to 8 PM, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 N. Robinson Dr., Waco. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 17, at Robinson Cemetery, 620 E. Stegall Rd., Robinson with Dr. Cary Killough officiating.

Annie was born on September 4, 1947 to Ann (Morgan) and Wilburn Markum in McLennan County, TX.
She graduated from Robinson High School in 1967 and later went to McLennan Community College to obtain an associate’s degree.

Throughout her life she enjoyed knitting and crocheting afghan blankets, playing dominoes and cards, reading western books, fishing when she was younger, and spending time with her family at family reunions.

Annie is preceded in death by her parents, Ann and Wilburn Markum, step-mother, Norma Markum, and brother-in-law, Steve Ramsey.

Annie is survived by her three sons, Troyce Robert Thomas and wife, Dawn of Oklahoma, Wilburn Wesley Thomas of Waco, TX and Richard Eugene Thomas and wife, Leslie of Arkansas; sister, Frances Ramsey of Rusk, TX; brothers, Claude (Buster) Markum and wife, Barbara of Axtell, TX and Ronnie Joe Markum and wife, Eileen of North Carolina; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
