Anna Murle Wooten, of Waco, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023. Visitation will be 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco.
Anna was born June 10, 1932 to Hubert and Virgie (Farmer) Burger. She was a lifelong resident of the Waco area. She married George Doil Wooten on March 17, 1951 in Waco, Texas. They were well-respected home builders, enjoyed hotrod racing, NASCAR, taking long trips on her motorcycle, little league baseball, fishing and camping. She also enjoyed family get togethers with a fish fry or home cooked meal.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Doil; daughter, Sandra Wooten Roebuck; great-grandson, Johnny Rogers.
Anna is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Rogers and husband Jimmy of McGregor; grandsons, James Rogers and wife Mindy of Temple and Kris Roebuck and wife Hayley of Fort Worth; great-grandsons, Alex Rogers and wife Megan, Jordan Rogers, Gibson Roebuck, Kasen McLaurin, Wyatt McLaurin; great-granddaughters, Jocelynn Rogers, Ellie Roebuck, Emma Roebuck, Millie Roebuck; great-great granddaughter, Adelyn Rogers; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
