Anna Juanell Crawford, 89, went to meet her Lord and Savior, Thursday, March 26, 2015, at a hospital in Lawrence, Kansas. Funeral services will be1:00 p.m., Monday, March 30, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2000 Clay Ave, Waco, with Pastor Jim Price officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 29, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.
Anna Juanell Crawford was born July 18, 1925. She lived in Waco, Texas most of her life as a homemaker and mother figure to many, before moving to Lawrence, Kansas to be with her daughter and family. She will be remembered most for her gentle loving nature and her competitive spirit while playing pool and shuffle board. She was an active member of the American Legion and VFW.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon L. Crawford; brother, Odel A. Smith; and sisters, "Boots", Jackie, and Lola.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Lee Ann Crawford; grandchildren, Shelly Valasco and Harley Dennis; great-grandchildren, Kindell McHenry and husband, Brandon, Ryan Rendon, JT and Austin Valasco; great-great grandchildren, Anthony, Ayden, and Aria; sister-in-law, Connie Collum; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be JT Valasco, Austin Valasco, Harley Dennis, Billy Graham, Thomas Owen, and Ronnie Strittmatter
