Amber King

Amber Deanne King, 43, of Hewitt, TX, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 24, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with Chase Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at Robinson Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 23, at the funeral home.
Amber was born January 21, 1978, in Irving, TX, to Thomas and Cheryl Spivey Staggs. She had a beautiful smile that would light up any room she was in. She was a true “mamma bear” who was fiercely protective of her children. Amber was full of compassion and a loyal friend who was loved by all those that knew her.
Amber was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Jim King; grandmother, Maxine Spivey; uncle, Eddie Spivey; and by her beloved family dog, Teddy Bear.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen King; daughters, Kayla Ann King, Cassidy Michelle King and Nicole Elizabeth King; parents, Thomas and Cheryl Staggs; siblings, Alicia Leanne Kelley, Tonya Michelle Staggs and Terry Wayne Staggs; mother-in-law, Sonja King; close friends, Amber Hall and Justine Wall; along with many other close family and friends.
