Amado Coquelo Arenas, 27, of Waco, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 22 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 N. Robinson Dr., Waco, with Pastor Rudy Rodriguez officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Oakwood Cemetery. A visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 21 at the funeral home.
Amado was born June 21, 1994 to Rogelio and Marilu (Espinosa) Arenas in Decatur, Georgia. He worked at Tractor Supply. Some of Amado’s favorite things were spending time with friends playing video games on his Xbox, collecting Funko pops, boxing and training others to box, making people laugh and smile, and ketchup (he loved ketchup on everything). He loved spending time with his nieces, nephews, brothers, and sisters, and talking to others about the bible and Jesus.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilu Arenas.
Amado is survived by his wife of 8 years, Christa Arenas; father, Rogelio Arenas and Grace Avendano; brothers, Manuel Flores and Carlos Alquinson; sisters, Benira Alquinson and Aaryana Outley (Yaya); aunt, Silvia Espinosa; cousins, Damon, Derrick, and Patricia Brummett; father-in-law, Kevin Kemp; nineteen nieces and nephews; three sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; along with numerous extended family and friends.
