Allene Louvell Rhodes, 78, of Robinson, TX, passed away at home with her family by her side on Monday, March 28, 2022. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 4, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with Pastor Tom Warnock officiating. Visitation will be from 2 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
Allene was born October 8, 1943. She attended University High School and worked at Library Binding and Owen Illinois. She married the love of her life, Charles Rhodes on August 6, 1960. She loved spending time watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports; along with gardening, canning and making candy; she also enjoyed playing bunko, keno and bowling.
Allene was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dee Williams; mother and father-in-law, Rev. L.V. and Lucile Rhodes; biological father, Allen Charles Todd; son, Robert Charles Rhodes; brothers-in-law, Vernon Rhodes, Chuck Devening, Robby Reese, Ron Roe, and Wes Allard; sister-in-law, Aljean Rhodes; and nephew, LeeBo Rhodes.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 62 years, Charles Rhodes; her Fur Baby, Jackson; children, Janet Jenkins and husband David, Rhonda Freeman and husband Tye; grandchildren, Travis Jenkins and wife Julie, Brandon Jenkins and wife Katie, Brittainy Jenkins and partner Nick Paynter, Jeremy Rhodes and wife Nicole, Chris Earley and wife Margarita, Dawn Earley and fiancé Brandon Barnes; great-grandchildren, Kodi Rhodes, Kooper Rhodes, Kolton Rhodes, Dustin Jenkins, Aria Jenkins, Coen Jenkins, Brooklynn King-Marek, James Barnes, Beau Ryan Jenkins, Tac Jenkins, Noah James Paynter, Baby Barnes ; sisters, Lola Devening, Ruth Ann Allard, LaJuan Vaughn and husband Larry; sisters-in-law, Nelda Reese, Roxie Lumpkin and husband Bobby; aunt, Willie Fulton, many nieces and nephews; along with many great-nieces and great-nephews and other family members.
