Allene Brown

Allene Kilpatrick Brown, 102, of Lorena, TX, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 14, at Waco Memorial Park, with Nathan Dunman officiation. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Allene was born December 27, 1918, in Limestone County, TX, to Thomas and Cora Watson Kilpatrick. In 1936, she married G.W. Brown. Allene loved living on the family farm. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, gardening and canning. She loved her family deeply and was blessed with a long and full life. Allene was a longtime member of Mooreville United Methodist Church. Allene was a remarkable woman and a loving mother and grandmother to her family.
Allene was preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Brown; parents, Thomas and Cora Kilpatrick; and son, Kenneth Brown.
She is survived by her sisters, Doris Howerton and Inez Reagan; daughters, LaNette Mirick and Earlene Simons; grandchildren, Bret Mirick and wife Kathy; Tracy Mirick; and Terri Chaudoin and husband Tommy; great-grandchildren, Jordan Harrison, Lyndsay Mirick, and Shawn Chaudoin; and her great-great-grandchildren, Arik Chaudoin and Charlie Harrison.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Allene’s name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
