Alicsa Denice Castro

Alicsa Denice (Allison) Castro, 59, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 22 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home in Waco. Interment will immediately follow at Rosemound Cemetery. The family will have a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 21 at the funeral home.

Denise was born September 21, 1963 to James Robert Allison and Annis Lenora (Fincher) Allison in Waco, Texas. She worked for Trautschold Millwork for 26 years. She enjoyed crafting, music and lawn-work, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Robert Allison; husband, Carlos Ventura Castro; sister, Donna Allison; brother-in-law, Johnny Castro; nephews, James Tunmire and Jerry Tunmire.

Denise is survived by daughter, Carla Becherer and husband Nicholas; daughter, Anna Castro and husband Jim Skains; grandchildren, Jackson Becherer, Austin Castro Skains, Tyler Castro Skains, Abrina Minner, Nikkie Reyes, Alex Reyes; godson, Richard Reyes; mother, Annis Allison; sisters, Debbie Tunmire, Brenda Resendez, Davilynn Thomas.
