Adeline (Lene) Garibay Quinones was granted everlasting peace on January 24, 2020 surrounded by her family. Adeline was born on January 24, 1935 to Robert and Prajedes Garibay and was one of 10 children. She was married to Roy Quinones for 67 years and was a homemaker to 5 children – Mary Martinez, Virginia Enriquez, Roy Quinones Jr., Regina Hernandez (husband Edward) and Richard Quinones.
She was a faithful and devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waco and served in numerous activities including CCD teacher, Guadalupanas, Eucharistic minister and as organizer of prayer meetings. She maintained her faith by attending countless spiritual retreats and conferences. She enjoyed family get togethers, spending time with her grandchildren, playing games, and watching sports like baseball, golf and her favorite Dallas Cowboys. She will always be remembered for her service and love for God, family and children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers – Robert, Lawrence, Gene and John, and 1 sister – Dora, and her eldest son Roy Jr.
She is survived by her husband Roy, daughters Mary, Virginia and Regina and son Richard; 11 grandchildren – Leon Enriquez (Christina), Vincent Barrientez (Hilary), Aurelio Martinez, Joseph Enriquez (Deana), Brandi Castillo (Martin), Leandra Hernandez, Jonathan Hernandez, Nicholas Quinones, Jaime Shaver, Joaquin Quinones (Amanda), and Richard Quinones Jr.; 20 great grandchildren – Alexandra, Christian, Angelina (Pike), Leon Jr., Caetano, Lola, James, Julian, Jackson, Isabella, Winford, Vivianna, Grace, Edward, Julius, Kobe, Jorden, MyKenzie, Quinton, and Lucas; and 1 great-great grandchild – Zachary; 4 sisters – Grace, Virginia, Rachel and Linda; and numerous other family members.
Pallbearers will be Leon Enriquez, Joseph Enriquez, Vincent Barrientez, Aurelio Martinez, Nicholas Quinones and Joaquin Quinones. Honorary pallbearer will be Richard Quinones Jr.
The family would like to express their sincerest and heartfelt gratitude to her Hospice care nurses and staff, especially Susan, for taking such loving care of our mother. And for her Right at Home staff for their help in her final days.
