Acie Allen

Acie Mae Allen “Susie”, of Rising Star, passed away at Rising Star Nursing Home Monday, September 23, 2019 at the age of 97. Services will be held at 2pm Saturday September 28, 2019 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3214 Robinson Dr., with Arthur Allen officiating. Burial will follow at McClanahan Cemetery in Marlin. The family will receive visitors at 1pm, prior to the service.
Susie was born June 18, 1922 in Buffalo Tx, to Acie and Wanda Mae. Susie was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, gardening, mowing the yard, and sweeping her driveway and sometimes even the street. She loved her family and most of all, her husband James. Her family looked forward to her chocolate pies and Turkey and dressing every year during the holidays.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2012; her parents; brothers Leo, Shorty, and Emmitt; sisters Mildred, Effie, Laura, and Betty Jean; son-in-law Lee and grandson Tom.
She is survived by her daughter, June Stone and husband Wayne; grandsons, Jeff Phillips and wife Leah, Tim Stone and wife Nettie; granddaughter, Kelly Jones and husband Chris; great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Carlissa, Jeremy, Brandon, Blair, Kathrine, Christopher, and Courtney; and 17 great-great-grandchildren with one more on the way; sister, Katherine; and brother, Oj Bewley.
