Abraham (Abe) Beltran, age 70, peacefully passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at home, surrounded by his family. The family will celebrate his life with a memorial visitation from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 27 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home. He was a veteran of the US Navy and there will be a pause for military honors beginning at 4:30 p.m. with a time for sharing memories immediately following.
Abe was born December 14, 1953 in Waco, Texas. He was raised by his parents Gilbert Beltran and Nebolena Compian. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy who served on the USS America. Abe enjoyed building and cruising in his classic cars and trucks, and riding his Harley surrounded by his friends and family. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren as they were his greatest joy, and his great-granddaughter Kida, if you know you know.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Beltran Sr.; brother, Gilbert Beltran Jr.; and son, Timothy Tindell.
Abe is survived by his loving wife of almost 49 years, Cathy Beltran, mother, Nebolena Ochoa; daughter, Tanya Beltran and spouse, Jeff Prestidge; daughter-in-law, Amber Tindell; grandchildren, Tate Saulters, Michael Portillo, Nicholas Portillo, Hailey Davidson; sisters, Belinda Beltran, Cynthia Beltran and husband Larry Stout, Lydia Stones and husband Dr. Michael Stones, many nieces and nephews. And also many brothers and sisters-in-law. The Tindell family took Abe in with loving arms as a young man and they were by his side until the end.
