Aaltje Richter

Aaltje G. Richter, 74, of Hewitt, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday May 6, at Robinson Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 5 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 5, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.
Aaltje was born December 13, 1942, in Brunssum, Netherlands. She married Willem Richter on June 30, 1963. Together they raised their two children, Judith and Mark, in Hewitt, Texas. She worked in Waco as a seamstress for many years. She and Willem loved to dance and Aaltje was a champion bowler in Waco.
Known as Oma to her family, she loved her children and grandchildren very much. She was preceded in death by her parents Jaap and Hermina Mensink.
Aaltje is survived by her husband, Willem Richter; children, Judith Ann Black and husband Brad, and Mark Donald Richter and wife Angela; her grandchildren, Cannon Black, Colton Black, D.J., Clint, Marie, Jasmine, Annaliese, and Noah; brother, Herman Burghgraef and wife Paula; sisters Geetje Smeets and husband Fritz, and Mien and Peter Veenstra.
