Jimmie was one of the friendliest people I have ever met. For many students and staff, she was Mom of Moody Library. She had a gift for connecting with students and making them feel welcome. I met Jimmie as a graduate student on one of my many visits to the library. She of course was the first to make introductions. She always had a listening ear, stories to tell, and wisdom to share. From how to plant a fall garden to raising children, she had a lot of practical knowledge to share. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply. They were always on her mind, close to her heart, and spoken of often. Jimmie is in Heaven with the Lord, waiting to welcome us home.
